Research excellence from Saarland wanted: New cooperation between Google and the DFKI

The Google Deutschland GmbH has acquired company shares of the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz, thus becoming its 17th industrial shareholder. So, the DFKI is, to date, the only European research institute in which Google participates – in form of a capital investment and a seat on the supervisory board – as an industrial shareholder. In doing so, Google intensifies its cooperation with German and European research institutions and, at the same time, enhances future perspectives of its product portfolio. The DFKI, on the other side, enlarges its renowned group of partners, institutionalizes its cooperation and facilitates the implementation of research innovations in economy and society. >> Read more (article in German)
