For Economics Minister Maas, the construction of the Holiday Park Bostalsee is very `satisfying and of extreme importance` for Saarland´s further development. At the ITB Berlin, the Minister had, at the Saarland booth, a talk with James Mennekens, the CEO for Tourism in Europe of Center Parcs.
According to Mennekens, the Holiday Park Bostalsee is almost fully booked for its start on July 1st. Mennekens pointed out that roughly 60 % of all bookings came from Germany, 20 % from Holland, 10 % from Belgium and 3 % from Switzerland. The two Managing Directors of the Projektgesellschaft Bostalsee – Petra Kutsch and Heinz-Peter Klein – stressed that the “Center Parcs Park Bostalsee” would be handed over to the future operator Center Parcs within the agreed time.
Also the cost frame of this large-scale touristic project would be observed. On April 20th, interested persons are invited by SHS to join a worksite party during which also guided tours of the future Center Park will be offered.
