Today (November 8th), the airline Freebird Airlines Europe was welcomed with the traditional first flight ceremony. In the future, the airline will serve the route between Saarbrücken and the Egyptian Hurghada.
From November 8th, Freebird Airlines Europe will – among others also for TUI – operate the weekly flights between Saarbrücken and the Egyptian holiday resort of Hurghada during the winter flight schedule (November 2023 – March 2024).
Together, Sven Winterstein (Head of Flight Planning & Purchasing, TUI Germany) and Thomas Schuck (Managing Director, Saarbrücken Airport) welcomed the airline’s first flight from Hurghada. The Airbus A320 landed on time at 11.45 a.m.
`Holiday trips to Hurghada have always been highly demanded. With TUI’s Freebird offer, we can now for the first time also offer our guests the destination Hurghada in the winter flight schedule. This means that another touristic higlight can now be reached by weekly direct connections from Saarbrücken Airport`, said Thomas Schuck, Managing Director of the airport.
`Flying directly from Saarbrücken is an invaluable advantage for many vacationers, and we are more than pleased that Freebird Europe, a well-known and popular holiday airline, is flying from Ensheim`, adds Sven Winterstein from TUI.
