Scheduled flight connection Saarbrücken-Tuzla inaugurated:
Welcoming ceremony for the first airplane

Today (December 20th) the airline Lumiwings was welcomed with the traditional first flight ceremony at Saarbrücken Airport. From now on, the airline serves the scheduled flight connection between Saarbrücken and Tuzla – with a larger aircraft than originally planned due to high booking numbers.

With the landing of the first Lumiwings machine on December 20th at 4:40 p.m., the scheduled flights between Saarbrücken and Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) were launched.  The airport welcomed the plane in the traditional way.

Due to the ongoing high number of bookings, the airline presently uses a Boeing 737-700 aircraft with 149 seats instead of the Embraer E190 regional jet (118 seats) originally planned for the scheduled route.

The airline Lumiwings operates the route twice a week. On Wednesdays the plane takes off from Saarbrücken at 5:20 p.m.  On Saturday mornings it leaves for Tuzla at 9:55 a.m. The return flights from Tuzla are on Wednesdays at 2:25 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:00 a.m. The flight time is a little less than two hours.
